Role Overview We are seeking a junior level candidate to help support the business growth of Amazon’s LATAM accounting organization in our Mexico City office. Ideal candidates will have a background in a public accounting firm or private companies, and will be expected to handle unusually complex challenges. Key job responsibilities Support the LATAM Stores Accounting team to oversee all parts of our financial accounting and reporting functions, reporting to a manager. Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in the area and influence the design of systems, processes, and controls for emerging and growing business activities. Basic Qualifications 4+ years of Fortune 500 operational accounting experience. Fluent in English (speaking, writing, and reading) and able to take direction in English. +3 years of experience in accounting, compliance, or auditing in Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, or Canada. CPA certification. +3 years of experience with a Big Four firm in auditing/accounting. Preferred Qualifications Experience in tax and intercompany matters.
