Job Description Indirect IT Senior Buyer – IT Software Category The IT Software Senior Buyer is part of our global IT Purchasing team and will be responsible for software purchasing to support the IT Organization and other Adient general requirements. This may include global payroll, time and attendance, and other indirect purchases that may impact program launches. The role ensures purchasing deliverables are met according to project timing and budget, negotiates changes, supports VAVE activities and sourcing tracking, prepares RFQs, negotiates and sources IT software, supports technical feasibility reviews, represents purchasing in multifunctional project requirement reviews, provides project status reporting, and manages suppliers. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of progressive experience in IT software purchasing or project management at companies of similar or larger scale and complexity to Adient. They will possess a general understanding of indirect purchasing policies and procedures, relevant laws, agency, legal and ethical obligations. The candidate will be an individual of unquestionable integrity, proactive, and able to work independently in fast‑paced environments. Core Responsibilities Work effectively with multi‑disciplines within Adient (Information Technology, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance) Clear understanding of supplier terms and conditions Negotiate using appropriate tactics, techniques, and strategies Evaluate cost breakdowns to identify opportunities to reduce overall cost Communicate effectively Manage time effectively and work well in a cross‑functional team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related technical field Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience, with preference for 3 years in the automotive industry Previous experience in IT software purchasing or program management Ability to cooperate with people at all levels inside and outside the company and to collaborate with teams to reach goals and business objectives Ability to recognize and respond to customer expectations with a sense of urgency Skill in gathering information, analyzing data, preparing and leading negotiations, and delivering recommendations Ability to summarize complex issues and communicate at all management levels Successful in fast‑paced environments with multiple priorities Ability to multitask across several programs Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong Excel skills Some travel may be required Primary Location Monterrey Business Center #J-18808-Ljbffr
