Provide strategic legal leadership for PPG in the Latin America North region, integrating the legal perspective into business decisions, prioritizing and mitigating key risks, and building governance and compliance structures that enable sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and reputational protection for the company. All of this in close collaboration with the region's leaders. Main Responsibilities Ensure the proper handling of commercial legal matters (contracts, inquiries, claims, etc.), verifying technical quality, alignment with business strategy, and compliance with internal policies. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents, ensuring that the terms protect the company's interests and are operationally viable. Address Labor & Employment matters in coordination with Human Resources, including reviewing individual employment contracts, termination agreements, letters, and key employment documents, as well as providing support in internal employee-related investigations when required. Design, review, and negotiate distribution agreements and commercial contracts. Provide legal support in negotiations with key business clients, participating in calls and negotiation sessions when necessary, proposing alternative clauses, and mitigating legal and reputational risks. Develop and maintain templates, standard clauses, and contractual tools (checklists, negotiation playbooks, risk matrices) that facilitate business operations and improve team efficiency. Ensure compliance with internal Compliance policies, including anti‑corruption, economic competition, data privacy, and conflict of interest, escalating sensitive issues to Compliance and Management when appropriate. Coordinate work with external law firms (when required), defining scope, reviewing deliverables, and controlling costs to guarantee quality and consistency in the legal strategy. Provide basic training and ad hoc workshops to the company's commercial, operational, and functional areas on key contractual topics, using practical, business‑oriented language. Strategically advise business leaders on legal and operational decisions related to contracts, campaigns, and commercial strategies, translating legal needs into practical, empathetic, and business‑aligned solutions. Identify legal risks, propose mitigation strategies, and document mitigated risks, strategic achievements, and implemented improvements. Mentor internal and external teams with whom you collaborate, fostering a culture of feedback and development. Represent the company before administrative and/or judicial authorities, prosecutors, and any other authority requiring physical presence for hearings, proceedings, inspections, or appearances related to the company's legal matters. Qualifications Bachelor of Laws (degree and professional license) 10 years of experience in corporate legal departments of multinational companies and/or leading law firms serving corporate clients.
