The Opportunity We're seeking a full‑time Science Teacher to join our SanLuisPotosí campus. This position offers the rare opportunity to teach highly motivated, intellectually curious students in an environment that genuinely supports innovative teaching. You will teach science courses in English to students who are preparing for world‑class universities. Depending on your expertise, you may teach chemistry, biology, environmental science, or a combination—we're looking for depth and breadth in the natural sciences. You will have the autonomy to design engaging curricula, develop hands‑on laboratory experiences, and create field activities that bring scientific concepts to life. Most importantly, you’ll help shape young people who see science not just as a subject to master, but as a way of thinking about and improving the world. What You’ll Do Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Teach up to 26 class hours per week using the Harkness discussion method. Develop and implement comprehensive science curricula aligned with national and international educational standards. Design and facilitate engaging laboratory experiments and field activities. Create and select instructional materials including readings, videos, lab protocols, and digital resources. Conduct research to continuously improve your teaching practice. Regularly evaluate student performance and development, ensuring students are on track with their learning objectives. Provide individualized academic support and tutoring. Offer constructive feedback that challenges students while building their confidence. Create a classroom environment conducive to student academic growth that honors different learning styles. Maintain regular communication with students and parents regarding academic progress. Participate in team‑building activities with students. Attend and support all school events. Serve as a mentor, potentially supporting student initiatives such as robotics teams or science clubs. Cover assigned supervision duties. Engage in continuous professional development through platforms such as Teachers Pro. Contribute to the broader school community through collaboration with colleagues. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related natural science field (required). Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary or high school level. Native English speaker or demonstrated C1‑level English proficiency to teach courses in English. Skills & Competencies Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven ability to facilitate discussion‑based learning (or strong willingness to learn and adapt). Demonstrated enthusiasm for your subject matter. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Comfort with technology and digital learning tools. Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in a bicultural environment.
