Job Description The Buyer will manage and execute the processes for the acquisition of raw materials, based on a forecast and customer demand while maintaining an optimal inventory level. What You Will Do Transfer and implementation of functions according to the position needs between different manufacturing locations Provide a communication link between sales demand and production Participate in a daily meeting with the operations group outlining the schedule and special activities expected on that day Prioritize activities for the operations group when schedule conflicts arise and notify sales of the impact on customer expectations Ensure upcoming needs are visible and reviewable by the rest of the organization Enter Purchase Orders received from Sales into the production schedule Provide lead times back to Planning on entered Purchase Orders Generate proposed solutions to expedite requests, computing the impact of each solution proposal offered. Report requests and proposals to the supervisor Ensure all documents needed for production build, packaging, and/or shipment are available and easily accessible Prepare and submit PO's status and performance reports Develop strategies to reach company KPIs Follow up with suppliers’ issues in coordination with the Sourcing department What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree 2+ years of experience in a similar position Ability to travel up to 30%; Ability to travel within the US Experience in manufacturing transfers from external locations is a plus Excellent command of the English language MRP and MS-Office & Excel XP good command and experience are required APICS training (plus) Strong familiarity with production processes knowledge Knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma Planning experience is desirable #J-18808-Ljbffr
