Key Responsibilities Create engaging lessons that inspire and challenge all students, in line with the school’s curriculum, policies, and external assessment requirements. Individualise and differentiate learning to support each student’s progress. Regularly assess students’ in‑class and at‑home learning, providing targeted feedback to drive progress and ensure all students reach their potential. Build a positive learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and ready to take risks. Collaborate with colleagues as an active member of our learning community, sharing best practices and engaging in continuous professional development. Contribute to the school’s co‑curricular programme, such as leading clubs or whole‑school initiatives, to enrich the broader school life. Maintain open and constructive communication with parents, building strong partnerships to support students’ progress. The Ideal Candidate Will Have A genuine passion for education and the ability to engage, motivate, and positively impact young people. A proven track record of excellence in personal, academic, and professional achievements. Expertise in their subject area and a talent for inspiring students to achieve outstanding progress. Proficiency in assessing student progress, providing targeted feedback, and enhancing performance, including for external assessments. Experience in pastoral care and promoting student well‑being, with a focus on individual attention and high welfare standards. Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with colleagues and independently, and of establishing positive relationships with families. A commitment to continuous professional development. Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan, prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent with excellent academic credentials and, ideally, evidence of post‑graduate study. Energy, enthusiasm, and a flexible, resourceful approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
