This section reflects the daily responsibilities and key tasks of the role:* Respond to customer requirements related to topics managed by the position.* Coordinate the Quality Management System at Griffith Foods in accordance with BRC certification requirements at the Monterrey (MTY) plant.* Implement and follow up on Food Safety requirements resulting from customer audits.* Manage and update the database of policies and procedures used at Griffith Foods Mexico.* Follow up on findings identified during internal or external audits, creating action plans to prevent recurrence.* Responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of the Supplier Evaluation and Development Program.* Address customer complaints related to topics managed by this position.* Serve as a member of the HACCP team.* Collaborate with Human Resources in the planning, design, and delivery of training courses related to quality and food safety.* Design and maintain the Traceability Program.* Leads continuous improvement for FSQS facilities to support the annual improvement objectives and ongoing area of improvement where appropriate.* Coordinates activities to support Food Safety Culture for the facility.* Coordinator for HACCP and Food Safety Plan for Lithonia facility.* Assist Plant Training Coordinators with training as needed.* Actively audit various programs and departments to support compliance to procedures.* Assist in preparation prior and/or during customer, 3rd party and regulatory audits.* Responsible for specific activities to support customer and 3rd party audits (i.e. Management review, etc.)* Assist to ensure plant compliance to FSQS requirements (GMP, Food Safety Plan).* Develop and maintain database and spreadsheets to support customer and/or internal compliance.* Other projects and assignments as needed and assigned by FSQS management.**Functional Knowledge:** Describe breadth and depth of knowledge of functional work and activities required* Quality systems, Food Safety, HACCP, GFSI management systems, audit programs, and related concepts* Bachelor’s Degree; preferable in Food Science.* 3-5 years of Food Safety and Quality Systems experience in food environment.* Above average ability in Excel and PowerPoint.* Ability to create reports from diverse databases.* Can perform under pressure; handle several high-profile projects over the same timeline.* Knowledge of GFSI requirements is mandatory.* Ability to effectively communicate from peer to peer, subordinates, senior management, suppliers and customers is critical.**Business Expertise:** Describe knowledge and expertise required about the business and industry in which the business functions* Strong technical knowledge of GFUS processes from raw material approval process to finished goods shipment approval to customer**Leadership:** Describe the nature of leadership required and guidance provided to othersInternal* Reports to US QS Compliance Manager* No direct supervision responsibilities.* Interacts directly with GFUS QS personnel, Plant QS team members, Plant personnel, Purchasing Dept., Sales, Customer Service, and Product Development Scientists.* Communicates project progress with internal stakeholderExternal* Incumbent will have frequent interaction with customer & suppliers (sales and technical), peers in other business units and personnel listed above on other business units* Communicates project progress with external stakeholder**Problem Solving:** Describe the level of analytical thinking required to perform the jobDescribes the most complex or challenging problems to be resolved and decisions made independently:* Findings from customer and certification audits.* Establish corrective actions jointly with operational personnel.* Release approval of raw materials or finished products.* Ability to identify/audit accuracy of data* Completing multiple priorities (internal and external)#J-18808-Ljbffr
