We are seeking an experienced and strategic Construction Logistics Manager to lead end-to-end logistics operations for construction materials across shipment, storage, and distribution. This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence across complex construction projects and requires a hands-on, on-site presence in the Bahamas. The successful candidate will combine strong operational leadership with commercial and financial acumen, driving service excellence while building long-term partnerships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders through practical, on-the-ground execution and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Operations & Business Performance Lead full-cycle logistics operations, including shipment tracking, storage, inventory, and distribution of construction materials and equipment Maintain full inventory accountability, ensuring accuracy and traceability across all stages Ensure seamless execution of inbound, outbound, and value-added services aligned with project timelines Deliver against key SLAs and KPIs, including productivity, service levels, safety, and inventory accuracy Align logistics operations with construction schedules and client objectives Proactively resolve logistics challenges and ensure compliance with customs and construction requirements Client & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, including clients, brokers, contractors, procurement, and construction teams Lead governance forums (QBRs, MBRs), presenting performance insights and continuous improvement plans Identify and implement efficiency opportunities and logistics solutions Negotiate scope adjustments, service levels, and commercial agreements in alignment with project strategy Drive high client satisfaction and long-term partnership development Oversee full cost structure, including labor, security, overhead, consumables, and capital investments Drive cost efficiencies through process optimization, productivity improvements, and operational controls Lead budgeting, forecasting, and logistics planning processes Analyze performance variances and implement corrective actions aligned with customs and construction standards Team Leadership & Organizational Development Lead and develop teams of 10–40 employees, including supervisors, coordinators, and H&S personnel Build organizational capability through succession planning and leadership development Foster a high-performance, safety-focused culture based on accountability and engagement Align workforce planning with project demands and operational requirements Qualifications Experience & Background 12+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or construction logistics operations Proven track record in senior leadership roles with accountability for operations, cost, and service delivery Experience managing large-scale, high-volume projects within construction or 3PL environments Strong background in client/account management with direct stakeholder engagement Demonstrated success delivering measurable improvements in cost, productivity, and service levels Experience implementing reporting systems, analytics, and operational tracking tools Implement and leverage advanced systems and tools such as Kestrel (or similar), Procore, Power BI, Primavera, or MS Project Optimize processes, warehouse layouts, and labor models to improve throughput and reduce costs Champion a data-driven and pragmatic on-site approach to decision-making Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational and commercial performance Core Competencies Strategic leadership across logistics, customs, and procurement Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills Data-driven and analytical mindset Experience with automation and digital transformation initiatives Solid experience working with customs brokers and agents Strong understanding of construction logistics (materials, storage, and distribution) Additional Information Turner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
