This is a senior‑level, high‑visibility role designed for a marketing leader who can operate as both a strategist and executor. The ideal candidate is comfortable working as a “department of one,” partnering closely with firm leadership, internal stakeholders, attorneys or subject‑matter experts, vendors, and agency partners to drive measurable growth. The role requires strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, digital marketing expertise, and the ability to build marketing infrastructure, strengthen brand presence, support client development, and position the firm as a trusted leader in its market. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the firm’s business objectives, target markets, and growth goals. Create and manage annual marketing plans, timelines, budgets, and priorities. Identify key marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility, generate leads, support client acquisition, and strengthen market positioning. Support strategic growth across commercial, construction, litigation, and related professional services practice areas. Track marketing performance and recommend adjustments based on data, market trends, and business needs. Brand Management Oversee brand positioning and ensure consistency across all marketing channels, including website, social media, presentations, proposals, advertising, newsletters, events, and client‑facing materials. Lead the development of marketing collateral, pitch materials, presentations, capability statements, proposals, and business development resources. Ensure all content clearly communicates the firm’s value proposition, expertise, credibility, and competitive advantages. Maintain a polished, professional, and consistent brand voice across digital and offline channels. Client Development & Business Development Support Partner with leadership and key internal stakeholders to support client engagement, retention, and new business development strategies. Monitor lead sources, referral pipelines, and business development activity to identify top‑performing channels and opportunities for improvement. Build and manage a professional referral network, including relationships with industry partners, brokers, developers, lenders, title companies, associations, and other relevant referral sources. Support pitch preparation, RFP responses, client presentations, proposal templates, and customized business development materials. Develop client‑facing content such as case studies, success stories, newsletters, articles, and market updates. Help implement and manage a CRM system to track business development activity, client contacts, referral sources, attorney or stakeholder pipelines, and follow‑up actions. Digital Marketing & Communications Lead the firm’s digital marketing strategy, including website optimization, SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, paid advertising, and online visibility. Manage the firm’s website content, updates, optimization, and performance tracking. Develop and execute email campaigns, newsletters, social media campaigns, and digital outreach initiatives. Measure and report on campaign performance using analytics tools and marketing KPIs. Identify, evaluate, and manage outside vendors or agencies as needed. Ensure the firm’s messaging is communicated effectively across digital and traditional channels. Content Creation & Thought Leadership Lead the creation of thought leadership content, including articles, blog posts, white papers, newsletters, market insights, and industry commentary. Work with internal subject‑matter experts to develop relevant and credible content for target audiences. Position key leaders as industry experts through speaking engagements, webinars, media opportunities, panels, and industry events. Manage the firm’s presence at relevant conferences, trade shows, networking events, and sponsorship opportunities. Create follow‑up plans after events to convert visibility into relationships, leads, and business opportunities. Events, Sponsorships & Market Presence Manage memberships, sponsorships, and participation in relevant professional, industry, civic, and local market organizations. Identify strategic opportunities for events, speaking engagements, client hospitality, community involvement, and market visibility. Coordinate event strategy, logistics, attendance, materials, promotion, and post‑event follow‑up. Tailor marketing and outreach strategies to different regional or local markets while maintaining brand consistency. Identify, interview, select, and manage marketing vendors, agencies, designers, writers, web developers, media partners, and other external resources. Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate terms, track deliverables, and hold vendors accountable for timelines, quality, and budget. Ensure external partners align with the firm’s brand, business objectives, and expected standards. Market Research & Competitive Analysis Conduct market research to identify client needs, industry trends, competitor strategies, and growth opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership regarding competitive positioning, messaging, client development, and market opportunities. Track relevant industry developments and translate findings into actionable marketing and business development strategies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. 7–10+ years of marketing experience. 3–5+ years in a senior marketing, business development, or leadership role. Experience in a law firm, professional services firm, commercial real estate, construction, or service‑based business is strongly preferred. Proven experience developing and executing marketing strategies that support measurable business growth. Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, content marketing, and analytics. Experience managing CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, InterAction, or similar systems. Experience managing outside vendors, agencies, and marketing budgets. Familiarity with the Texas legal, commercial real estate, construction, or professional services market is a strong plus.
