Job Purpose Under the direct supervision of a Senior Legal Counsel, the Legal Counsel Associate provides legal advice to corporate management in alignment with the Mexico Legal Head for DHL Global Forwarding. The role ensures that business practices, policies, and agreements meet regulatory requirements and prepares legal and business communication documents, contracts, and official records. Your Tasks Support the requirements of DHL Corporate Guidelines in reviewing contracts with customers. Provide technically accurate and commercial legal advice. Research, draft memorandum and prepare briefings and findings for senior counsel and the board. Advise on applicable law and regulation for the business unit. Coordinate with external counsel and streamline briefing and interpretation of advice. Assist in sourcing and collaborating with external legal counsels. Review and negotiate contracts per instructions from divisional units. Manage external law firm liaison to conclude transactions. Provide general legal advice and litigation support, including specialized areas such as Finance, Competition/Antitrust, Intellectual Property, Airfreight, Oceanfreight, Information Technology, Procurement, Data Protection, Employment & Labor Law. Influence decisions by providing value‑added input into business processes. Contribute to a culture of quality, service excellence, flexibility, and cost consciousness. Develop and monitor Group KPIs and support remote team members. Identify training needs and opportunities for development. Your Profile Knowledge of fundamental law concepts, practices, and procedures of general law practice or a specialized field. Expertise in the Global Forwarding segment. Advanced English language skills (writing and speaking). Highly organized, energetic, proactive, and customer‑focused. Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to present to groups.
