This role is about combining precision with initiative—reviewing technical documentation, preparing accurate estimates, and refining designs while ensuring seamless coordination with stakeholders. What You’ll Own Reviewing and analyzing project documentation to extract key details and requirements Performing detailed quantity take-offs and preparing cost estimations with accuracy Developing and refining electrical designs to meet project specifications and standards Coordinating and maintaining clear communication with internal teams, contractors, and clients Maintaining organized estimating and design records for reference and reporting What Makes This Role a Fit Do you hold yourself accountable for producing precise, reliable work that others can trust? Highlight discrepancies for RFIs (Requests for Information). Maintain an organized log of addenda and Perform Detailed Quantity Take-Offs and Cost Estimations Use estimating software and NEC standards to generate precise labor, material, and equipment costs. Ensure estimates align with NECA labor units and company pricing standards. Track historical cost data for accuracy improvements Develop and Refine Electrical Designs Create and update electrical one-line diagrams, load calculations, and circuiting layouts. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure constructability and code compliance. Provide innovative yet practical design solutions that align with client requirements. Coordinate and Communicate with Stakeholders Communicate daily with project managers, field supervisors, vendors, and clients regarding design, pricing, and scope questions. Draft professional correspondence (RFIs, scope clarifications, proposal notes). Support client presentations with clear drawings and well-structured estimates. Maintain Estimating and Design Records Update and organize bid tracking logs, drawing files, and estimate databases. Record revisions and ensure version control for all design documents. Prepare internal reports on bid progress, awarded projects, and estimate accuracy vs. actual job costs.
