JOB SUMMARY The Planning SME is responsible for driving standard work, process optimization, and continuous improvement across planning processes, systems, and talent development within OSS (One Shared Services) and site operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Act as Site Subject Matter Expert in Planning processes (Production Planning, Demand Planning, Scheduling, Capacity Planning, etc.) Act as SME for planning systems and tools (e.g., SAP, planning trackers, scheduling tools) Drive standardization and best practices across planning activities within OSS and supported sites Coach, mentor, and train planning teams to strengthen capabilities and create a continuous learning environment Monitor key planning KPIs (schedule adherence, demand vs supply alignment, execution readiness, etc.) Support execution teams by ensuring material readiness and schedule feasibility Perform regular audits to ensure planning processes are controlled, accurate, and aligned with standards Identify gaps in planning processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Logistics) to ensure alignment and execution readiness Communicate best practices and data-driven insights to regional and global teams MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Reports to Regional SME Manager or Planning/Materials Functional Manager No direct supervisory responsibilities KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Strong understanding of planning processes, scheduling methodologies, and execution support Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and planning tools Ability to interpret demand, supply, and production schedules Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve planning gaps Experience in process improvement and change management Strong communication skills for cross-functional and customer-facing environments Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, macros, reporting) Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Planning, Supply Chain, or related fields Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Certifications in Supply Chain/Planning (e.g., APICS/ASCM) preferred PMP certification is a plus Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) #J-18808-Ljbffr
