The Plant Quality Manager leads all quality functions at the Tijuana manufacturing site, ensuring world‑class performance across products, processes, and the supply chain. This role is responsible for building and sustaining a robust Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with industry and customer requirements, and driving a strong culture of prevention and continuous improvement. Quality Strategy & Business Partnership Define and execute the plant quality strategy aligned with business objectives and customer requirements Partner with Engineering, NPI, Operations, and Supply Chain to drive performance and growth Own key quality KPIs: PPM, COPQ, FPY, scrap, rework, and customer incidents Quality Systems & Compliance Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer requirements) Manage internal, customer, and third‑party audits Ensure effective corrective actions and sustained compliance Customer & Supplier Quality Act as primary escalation owner for customer quality issues Lead structured problem‑solving (8D, A3, root cause analysis) Drive supplier quality performance, audits, and corrective actions Process Quality & Continuous Improvement Ensure quality is built into processes using APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and Lean/Six Sigma Identify risks and drive preventive actions across product lifecycle Support NPI and product transfers to ensure quality readiness Leadership & Culture Lead and develop a multidisciplinary quality organization Build a strong culture focused on accountability, prevention, and data‑driven decisions Drive talent development and succession planning Reporting & Innovation Present quality performance, risks, and improvement plans to leadership Drive adoption of digital tools, automation, and analytics in quality processes Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Mechanical) or Quality Management. Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced quality certifications preferred. Fluent in conversational and written English. Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Management within automotive or high‑reliability electronics manufacturing. At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role managing multidisciplinary quality teams across the full product lifecycle, from product design through post‑sales service. Proven experience working with Tier 1 suppliers and/or OEM customers. Skills & Competencies In‑depth knowledge of automotive electronics manufacturing processes, quality systems, and industry regulations. Proven leadership skills with experience building and leading high‑performing teams. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities. Expertise in structured problem‑solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action management. Excellent communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels. Experience in driving change in fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing environments. Proficient in quality systems, data analysis, and quality management software tools. Certifications (Preferred) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent Working Conditions Office‑based role within the manufacturing facility with frequent presence on the production floor and quality laboratories. Occasional travel to supplier locations, customer sites, and industry meetings. Reporting Relationship Reports directly to the Plant Director. Directly manages Supplier Quality, Process Quality Assurance, Customer Quality, Quality Management Systems, Component Failure Analysis, Material Analysis, and Quality Control functions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
