In this role, you will lead and inspire a team dedicated to flawless production and world‑class manufacturing. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement and achieving exceptional results. Responsibilities Create current state value stream maps of the end-to-end value stream(s). Lead resources to analyze the current state map based on facts, then create a future state map using lean techniques to eliminate waste and improve the process. Create a plan to achieve the future state and lead the implementation of the plan. Manage routine tasks within the value stream to ensure ongoing obligations are fulfilled as progress is made. Ensure improvement metrics related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, inventory and 5S scores are met. Work with teams and use Lean tools to make continuous improvements. Plan and support Kaizen events. Create a motivated work environment to support Lean objectives. Provide motivational leadership and communication to all team associates to ensure understanding and attainment of SQDCI performance objectives. Employ, drive and promote understanding of Lean tools and principles to ensure delivery of business objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Develop a world‑class operations organization by providing training, coaching and counseling as appropriate. Ensure proper staffing levels, quality and quantity, to meet customer requirements and achieve productivity targets. Establish, observe, and share visual data for the area; act on this information by detecting challenges, addressing them, and advancing process control. Develop and support teams that make suggestions, take initiative, and actively implement improvements. Build strong alliances across all functions and serve as a strategic liaison to Product Management, Sales, Customer Service, and Design Engineering. Plan capacity (equipment, labor, space) and maintenance strategies. Track production yield, productivity, downtime, and corrective actions. Apply experience, training and engineering techniques to solve problems encountered in design, redesign, or troubleshooting. May supervise and/or give technical and safety direction to peers, technicians, designers, drafters, model makers, and others; may serve as project leader. Participate in project planning and may direct portions of smaller projects or segments of larger projects, including scheduling, monitoring costs, resources, and workforce loading. Integrate existing processes via transfer from other Welch Allyn sites and continuously improve manufacturing processes for mechanical devices. Estimate cycle time, track it, and develop production routers. Meet with external customers and suppliers to exchange information and assist with complex technical problems. Design and implement production fixtures, tools, and inspection equipment as required. Coordinate tasks associated with transferring manufacturing to a new production location. Develop and maintain Manufacturing Process Instructions (process sheets, MPS), routers, and bill of materials. Complete process validation; changes to specifications, methods, processes or procedures must be verified or validated before implementation, following standard operating procedures and QSR’s element 820.75. Participate in CPE projects, and product and process validation and verification according to quality system procedures. Lead or participate with organization and group operations management in CAPA activities by conducting, determining, and verifying corrective actions to ensure continued compliance with division policy and procedures, Federal regulations under Title 21 CFR Part 820, and ISO 13485. Track, spot trends, analyze, and address challenges associated with manufacturing operations. Leadership Skills Lead with integrity, honesty, and trust.
