Health & Safety Manager - Industrial Construction Projects Full‑time position. Providing health and safety guidance to the project team and ensuring compliance with Mexican health and safety regulations and all client requirements. The health and safety manager will produce, review and approve HSE plans in accordance with both legal and client requirements, review and assure legal compliance topics such as risk assessments, local authority audits and claims, site safety inspections, safety committees, incident investigations, and lead all HSE teams. Responsibilities Plan and develop strategic work systems around HS&E guidelines, recommending suitable processes aligned with client’s and regulatory standards for construction projects. Support existing site safety team to keep reporting regimes in place for Health and Safety statistics. Support business change via effective change management processes in a fast‑paced environment when required. Implement and monitor corporate HSE policies and meet governmental/regulatory requirements, monitoring KPIs and providing training. Implement and review the Client's global safety policies, ensuring local legislative requirements are also met. Maintain and develop personal competence to meet the demands of both the business and clients. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field to HSE. Qualified Health and Safety Professional holding specialized courses in occupational health and safety, according to Mexican regulations. Minimum of 8 years professional experience in the position working on construction projects. OSHA certification . BOLT registered , trained and familiar is a MUST prior to screening. Fluent in Spanish and in English. Qualifications and Skills A flexible individual able to understand the issues presented and adapt general methods and processes to meet the Client’s needs, with previous experience in building – shopping centers or industrial greenfield construction. Flexible approach to work, managing own priorities and workload, a self‑starter and team leader. Able to effectively lead and manage an H&S team. Excellent communication and influencing skills; result‑oriented and tenacious. Comfortable communicating at all levels of seniority within a large organization. Possesses an in-depth understanding of Mexico Health and Safety legislation. Quickly builds credibility, using influencing skills and strategies to build buy‑in for change. Capacity to deliver trainings. Ability to plan and organize own workload to meet deadlines – essential. Good IT skills to generate reports and documents. Excellent client empathy.
