Senior On‑Site Project Management (Mexico) Senior role accountable for the end‑to‑end planning, execution, and delivery of Symbotic’s automated solutions at customer sites. The leader partners closely with executive customers, cross‑functional internal stakeholders, and external vendors to drive complex, large‑scale implementations from contract review through installation, commissioning, and final acceptance. Responsibilities Serve as the executive owner of site implementation projects, acting as the primary customer escalation point. Own the full regional portfolio, balancing shared global resources and competing milestones to ensure high‑velocity execution across all sites simultaneously. Champion the adoption of Symbotic’s standardized project management framework within the region. Lead the execution of stage‑gate reviews, milestone governance, and proactive risk management processes to ensure systemic consistency. Navigate complex, critical negotiations and change management with customers and vendors. Lead the identification and resolution of contractual issues while maintaining strong, long‑term customer and vendor relationships. Lead customer and internal cross‑functional teams to fully understand contractual requirements and execute project scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction metrics. Drive project planning and execution for complex, custom automation installations, ensuring alignment across engineering, software, controls, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and operations. Proactively identify and forecast systemic risks across the portfolio. Provide “no‑surprise” transparency to senior leaders through data‑driven updates on progress, wins, and cost impacts. Present regular executive‑level project updates highlighting progress, wins, risks, opportunities, and cost impacts. With global Procurement, own vendor, contractor, and partner relationships to ensure performance, accountability, and alignment with project objectives within the region. Develop, lead, and coach project management leaders and teams, ensuring adherence to Symbotic processes and fostering a culture of accountability, consistency, and excellence. In partnership with the global Project Execution PMO, lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution, internal processes, and overall customer experience. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or related discipline. Minimum 12 years of project or program management experience delivering large‑scale, complex, cross‑functional programs integrating hardware, software, and controls. Minimum 7 years of direct people leadership experience managing managers and senior professionals. Experience with material handling systems, industrial automation, robotics, or large capital equipment deployments is strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience executing projects using Agile methodologies, with the ability to operate in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments. Experience leading or supporting organizational transitions from Waterfall to Agile/Scrum is a plus. Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship‑building skills across customers, vendors, and internal technical teams. Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools including JIRA, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio. PMP certification is preferred. Proven ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments and make sound decisions with incomplete information. Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging metrics and data to drive continuous improvement. Highly collaborative, team‑oriented leader with the ability to motivate and influence at all levels. Fluency in Spanish and English required. Environment Remote, field‑based position supporting customer sites. Travel required up to 65%, including ability to drive and/or fly to customer and partner locations within the assigned country/region. Occasional travel to the United States is required for training and key leaders meetings. Must maintain a valid driver’s license. Employees must manage business expenses via personal credit card with bi‑weekly reimbursement. Role requires frequent walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of approximately 24 inches. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Strict adherence to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and fall protection requirements. Approximately 75% of the time is spent on active construction sites with required PPE (hard hat, safety vest, steel‑toe footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, fall protection).
