Position Liaison Engineer for Stellantis (Resident at Stellantis facility) Job Description Product Engineer to be resident at Saltillo Truck plant full time. This engineer will be a member to the DJ DRE team. The main responsibility will be to represent and support the DREs when they are not present at the Saltillo plant. Main Duties Be the DRE representative when DREs are not present at the Vehicle Assembly Plant Provide engineering support during pilot builds Answer questions and provide guidance related to the harness design Aid in root causing issues with the Aptiv harnesses to determine whether they are quality or design. If a design issue is identified, the Liaison Engineer will help identify a solution Communicate back to the DREs issues found and potential solutions Keep track of issues found and breakpoint for containment Help coordinate, locate and follow trial runs Help coordinate and execute harness reworks Provide engineering support at Tiered Suppliers Complete the pre-pilot build part signoff requirement for all pilot build harnesses arriving in STAP/Tiers Help facilitate/participate in First Piece Sign Off (FPSO) activities for each build phase at Aptiv Manufacturing Plant Competencies and required skills Familiar with wire harness design and manufacturing. Familiar with vehicle assembly plant processes. Logical thinking. Ability to communicate with the customer. Good organizational skills.
