The Role We are looking for an analytical and self-driven Electrical Design Release Engineer (DRE) specializing in EEHD (Electrical Electronic Hardware Development / Electrical Harness Distribution Systems). In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of complex low-voltage/high-voltage wiring harnesses, power distribution boxes, and electrical hardware components. With 3 to 5 years of experience , you will bridge the gap between schematic capture, 3D physical routing, and manufacturing, ensuring all electrical distribution systems meet strict EMC, functional, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Component Release: Own the design, release, and life-cycle management of electrical distribution hardware, wiring harnesses, connectors, fuses, and routing components. Schematic & Topology Integration: Develop and interpret electrical schematics, logical wiring diagrams, and network topologies. Supplier & Tooling Oversight: Partner with Tier 1 wiring and hardware suppliers to track design maturity, tooling readiness, and PPAP approvals. Validation & Testing: Define and execute DFMEA, DVP&R, and electrical load analyses to ensure full validation of hardware under all operating conditions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate remotely with 3D CAD Routing teams, Power Management, EMC Specialists, and the Assembly Plant to resolve packaging constraints and manufacturing issues. Change Management: Author and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to implement continuous improvements or cost-reduction ideas. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an Electrical DRE, Product Engineer, or Release Engineer specifically focused on wiring harnesses or automotive electrical hardware. Technical Skills: * Proficiency with electrical design tools (e.g., Capital Harness/Mentor Graphics, Saber, Vesys, or Zuken). Familiarity with checking 3D packaging data (NX, CATIA) to review harness routing and clipping. Industry Standards: Solid understanding of automotive electrical specifications, validation standards (USCAR, ISO), splicing layouts, and wire-gauge dimensioning. Language: Fluent/Advanced English (written and spoken) is required for daily collaboration with global teams and suppliers. Remote Pro: Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills required to successfully lead projects in a 100% remote workspace.
