Bridge the Gap Between Software and Intelligence as our next Software Engineer (AI Focus)! Trimble is looking for an enthusiastic engineering problem-solver in Mexicali to join our B2W Civil and CMS teams to help build the next generation of cloud‑based construction software with a unique career pathway to transition into AI development. What Makes This Role Great This role provides a rare career bridge to leverage core .NET and Angular skills while upskilling into Machine Learning and Agentic AI. It allows experimental, hypothesis‑driven engineering on high‑impact projects that integrate cutting‑edge AI models into enterprise‑scale cloud applications for heavy civil construction. Key Exciting Responsibilities Build and integrate scalable software features and AI models into our existing .NET/C# and Angular ecosystem alongside senior experts. Transition into experimental engineering by running prototypes, analyzing telemetry, and iterating rapidly on solutions where standard documentation may not yet exist. Master emerging technologies such as Agentic AI, Computer Vision, and LLM integrations through self‑directed learning and collaborative \"hacker\" sessions. Develop resilient, maintainable code designed to gracefully handle the non‑deterministic nature of AI and complex edge cases. Partner with product and architecture teams to evaluate technical feasibility and execute on our ambitious AI roadmap. Essential Skills & Experience 2‑4 years of proven experience in Software Engineering with strong proficiency in C#, .NET, and Object‑Oriented Design. Solid foundation in Angular, JavaScript, and building RESTful Web APIs. A \"hacker\" mindset with a proven ability to learn new technologies independently and build rapid prototypes. Mathematical aptitude in basic statistics and linear algebra (or a strong willingness to relearn them). High curiosity and a willingness to write production‑level Python code alongside your C# work. Bonus points for experience utilizing AI tools like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT to accelerate your personal development workflow. Basic understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, or data modeling. Prior exposure to ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, or generative AI concepts (LLMs). Experience with cloud infrastructure in Azure or AWS.
