Overview We are looking for an Intermediate System Requirements Engineer – Infotainment Subsystem (ADV). The role acts as the key liaison between Design & Release Engineers (DREs) and System Architects, ensuring that technical and regulatory needs are translated into clear, specific, and actionable requirements for the design, development, validation, and release of vehicle electrical and electronic components. The incumbent applies Requirements Engineering methodologies to elicit, analyze, document, and maintain system requirements and collaborates closely in system design and development within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Responsibilities Requirements Definition & Management: write, update, and maintain technical requirements for the Infotainment subsystem (and Cabin Thermal & Safety, as applicable) throughout production phases. Conduct requirements elicitation through stakeholder interviews and workshops. Utilize IBM DOORS for requirements management and traceability. Systems Analysis & Design: perform system requirements analysis and collaborate in the design and development of infotainment hardware and software systems; support system modeling and architecture activities. Technical Coordination & Liaison: act as the key link between DREs and System Architects; work cross-functionally with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure correct hardware–software integration. Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: identify, analyze, and resolve hardware and software system failures; apply diagnostic tools to address technical issues. Project Tracking & Workflow Control: use IBM Engineering Workflow Management (RTC) and JIRA to manage workflows, tasks, and issue tracking; contribute to the complete SDLC for infotainment components. Quality Assurance & Risk Analysis: conduct thorough testing to validate system functionality and reliability; perform DFMEA to identify and mitigate potential design risks. Technical Documentation: create and maintain detailed records of diagnosed issues, implemented solutions, and established requirements; prepare and update technical documentation, including specifications and reports. Requirements University Degree (Bachelor’s or Engineering) in related fields such as Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering. Requirements Engineering: Intermediate level with 5–8 years of experience in definition, management, and elicitation of requirements. Requirements Management with IBM DOORS: Intermediate level with 5–8 years of experience. Workflow Control with IBM Engineering Workflow Management (RTC): Intermediate level with 5 years of experience. Issue Tracking with JIRA: Intermediate level with 4–6 years of experience. Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Intermediate level with 5–8 years of experience. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting (HW/SW): Intermediate level with 5–8 years of experience. Systems Engineering Methodologies: Intermediate level with 5–8 years of experience. Vehicle Communication Protocols (CAN, LIN): Intermediate level with 5–8 years of experience. Embedded Systems Knowledge: Intermediate level with 5–8 years of experience. DFMEA Analysis: Basic to Intermediate level with 5–8 years of experience. Design for Six Sigma (DFSS): Basic to Intermediate level with 5–8 years of experience. CATIA V5: Basic level with 2–4 years of experience in model visualization or review. Knowledge of Apple CarPlay / Android Auto: Intermediate level with 3–4 years of experience in integration or validation. Programming Languages (Python, C/C++): Basic level with 3–4 years of experience for scripting or automation. Knowledge of Vehicle Safety Regulations: Basic level with 3–4 years of experience.
