Role Purpose We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join our team as a Software Developer to support and enhance Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Non‑MES applications at both local and divisional levels. The candidate will be responsible for full‑stack development, including the creation and optimization of stored procedures, and will provide critical support for 24/7 operations in a high‑demand manufacturing environment. Availability for on‑call support after hours to address urgent system issues is required. The MES applications are built on the .NET framework, utilizing Visual Basic, C#, and SQL Server technologies, and play a vital role in manufacturing processes across multiple Corning plants globally. Key Responsibilities Design and code scalable software solutions for MES and Non‑MES applications. Modify systems to fix errors, improve performance, and implement updates. Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, jobs, and SSIS packages in SQL Server. Create and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and system reports. Analyze business processes and system requirements to translate them into technical solutions. Required Experience & Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of professional experience with the .NET framework and programming languages C# and VB.NET. 2+ years of experience working with T‑SQL, including stored procedures, views, jobs, and SSIS. 4+ years of .NET development experience. 5+ years of programming experience with C# and VB.NET. 3+ years of experience with advanced T‑SQL concepts and tools.
