Problem Solving Specialist, Shainin Expert Position Type: Full-time Responsibilities Mentor, train and develop associates as Problem Solving Leaders or Sponsors following strategic thinking and a structured method to find and eliminate technical and managerial root causes. Support Value Stream organizations by coaching Problem Solving Teams to fix critical and repetitive problems. Coordinate Project selection criteria through the Steering Committee (VS, MSE, Plant level) based on how Plant Indicators are affected; assure that selected projects have all resources assigned (Leader, Sponsor, time, etc). Coach Problem Solving techniques and strategic thinking; conduct periodic project status reviews with sponsors and leaders. Maintain and track JuP1 personnel trained and certified in Problem Solving Methodologies, and the projects implemented by these associates. Track Problem Solving Projects (status, savings, next steps, etc). Assess projects to evaluate quality and report cost avoidance from closed projects. Identify and remove barriers to problem solving project success. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in problem solving, especially in a manufacturing area. Certified as Shainin Journeyman preferred (or during the first 2 years in the role). Certified as Six Sigma Black Belt preferred. Trained in 8D methodology. Logical and strategic thinking. Knowledge of descriptive statistics and statistical inference. Familiarity with statistical software tools such as Minitab, Red X Tracker, JMP, etc. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Proactive, teamwork, and good communication skills. Leadership ability. Data analytics skills. English (advanced level).
