Job Title: Mechanical & Thermal Simulation Engineer (Battery Systems – FEA Focus) Job Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a skilled Mechanical & Thermal Simulation Engineer with strong expertise in structural and thermal analysis, specifically within battery systems. This role focuses on FEA-driven design and validation , supporting the development of robust and thermally efficient battery packs. Candidates with a background in automotive systems and hands-on experience in battery technologies are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced simulations using ABAQUS and ANSA for structural and thermal analysis Develop and validate mechanical and thermal models for battery systems, including Li-Ion, Lead Acid, and Supercapacitors Conduct simulations related to: Crash, crush, and impact scenarios Mechanical shock and vibration durability Structural integrity and reliability Define and execute simulation strategies to evaluate design robustness using Finite Element Analysis Provide design recommendations for thermal management solutions in battery systems Interpret simulation results and correlate with physical validation/testing data Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, testing, manufacturing) to optimize product performance Guide and review analysis work performed by other engineers, including offshore teams Support prototype development, assembly, and testing activities Required Qualifications MS/MTech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 3+ years of hands-on experience in FEA using ABAQUS and ANSA Strong understanding of mechanical and thermal simulation principles Experience in structural analysis including crash, vibration, and durability Knowledge of thermal management in engineering systems Preferred Qualifications Experience with Li-Ion battery systems and battery pack design Background in automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier environments Exposure to battery management systems (BMS) and energy storage solutions Familiarity with validation testing and simulation correlation Experience working with global/offshore engineering teams Key Skills Structural & Thermal Simulation Battery System Design & Analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and teamwork Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines #J-18808-Ljbffr
