Functions and Responsibilities Develop systems to identify and measure key performance indicators (uptime, downtime, scrap, yield). Evaluate and identify key site capacity constraints and provide timely solutions to resolve. Use Lean tools to measure, understand, and improve process variability and efficiency. Manage related capital projects adhering to budget and schedule constraints. Identify critical equipment setting and creation of work standards. Create technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfer the knowledge to operators and technical associates. Coaching associates on continuous improvement methodologies within the manufacturing unit; identify top losses and develop and implement plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE performance. Manage manufacturing unit change control including validation activities, root‑cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and quality deviations. Prepare work instruction / training material for the process. Lead and execute process validation, compile completion results, and develop standards for material or process changes. Lead problem solving using continuous improvement methodologies and tools. Implement and sustain BD Excellence work process for the manufacturing unit; ensure compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Engineering Degree in Industrial, Mechatronic, Electronic, Electrical, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge and Skills Troubleshooting / Problem Solving – Advanced. PLC experience preferred. Organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and high‑level goals. Strong leadership skills to manage time and solve problems. Ability to influence and build good working relationships according to BD Values. Effective oral/written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office. Bilingual English and Spanish.
