GlobalLogic is partnering with a leading global retail pharmacy and health & wellness company, operating over 13,200 stores across 11 countries and maintaining one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical wholesale and distribution networks. With 390+ distribution centers serving 230,000+ pharmacies, clinics, and hospitals in over 20 countries, the company is a recognized leader in pharmacy-led retail healthcare. We are expanding our team to support this strategic partnership and are looking for exceptional talent to join our rapidly growing organization. Our teams, co-located with the client in Deerfield, IL, deliver a range of critical services including product architecture, software development, integration, DevOps, UX/UI design, and Agile coaching, all focused on building the next-generation pharmacy platform. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in software quality engineering, with at least 3+ years in a managerial or leadership role. Technical Skills Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Postman, JMeter, etc.). Strong grasp of CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments. Leadership & Communication Demonstrated experience leading and scaling quality engineering teams. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure scenarios. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with technical teams and executive stakeholders. Experience managing vendors, external QA partners, or offshore teams is a plus. Strategic Thinking Ability to drive quality initiatives across the organization. Experience setting quality KPIs, tracking metrics, and using data to inform decisions. Budgeting and resource planning experience preferred. Job Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the QE team, ensuring high productivity and alignment with project goals. Allocate resources effectively to meet delivery schedules and SLAs. Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop a high-performing, diverse QE team. Process & Delivery Oversight Define and implement scalable test strategies for functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing. Ensure QE involvement throughout the SDLC—from requirements through post-release monitoring. Lead root-cause analysis of complex issues and put systemic improvements in place. Test Automation & CI/CD Integration Establish a strong vision for automation-first QA practices. Lead implementation of automated testing pipelines within CI/CD workflows. Ensure fast feedback loops and minimal manual intervention in release cycles. Cross-Functional Collaboration Liaise closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to align QE strategy with product goals. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on quality metrics, project status, and risks. Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to ensure adequate test environments and tooling support. Quality Metrics & Reporting Define and track key quality metrics (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, escape rate). Continuously analyze metrics to identify opportunities for process and product improvement. Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and practices.
