Summary The Corporate Logistics Coordinator is responsible for handling the logistical coordinationof the organizations’ facilities, including office buildings and plants within a definedgeographical region. Duties include procurement of logistics services, management ofcarrier relationships, support of the plants logistical and operational needs as they relateto transportation and the safe interaction of carriers with shipping and receiving. TheLogistics Coordinator shall also create and maintain all associated documentation inadherence with established company practices, legislation and organizational policies andprocedures. In some circumstances, the Logistics Coordinator may be responsible for thesafety requirements of the organizations’ facilities and assets. Develop, implement, and monitor performance metrics for transportation, shippingand receiving. Create, monitor, and report on weekly and monthly logistics key performanceindicators. Negotiate with and manage contracts and service level agreements for contractedcarriers using Corporate formats and methods for bidding freight services. Collaborate with purchasing departments in request for proposal (RFP), and requestfor quote (RFQ) processes. Provide monthly updates on the status of projects and give progress reports on otherprocess improvement initiatives. Manage courier/carrier implementations and establish service level agreements toensure services are delivered as promised. Conduct profit and loss management for the company’s logistics function; work withassigned plants to support effective management of logistics budgets. Communicate the organizations safety policies in accordance with applicable federalsafety standards and local laws. Deal with imports and exports shipped to and from the company; work with customscompliance team to ensure compliance. Obtain freight quotes and prepare documentation for outbound shipments. Maintain relationships with carriers and warehouses. Build and maintain daily reports related to logistics. Perform other duties as required. Requirements 4-year degree with heavy emphasis in business, international trade, and/or globalsupply chain. Five years related experience in a manufacturing environment, specially in theAutomotive Industry. Direct working knowledge of operations, plant management, inventory control, andtransportation management. Solid computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite, withfocus on data analysis using Excel functionality. Experience in managing logistics providers #J-18808-Ljbffr
