QA - Automation Engineer (Guidewire Certified) Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX) Position Overview We are seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer with Guidewire certification to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of Guidewire-based insurance applications. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for Guidewire applications. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define test strategies and acceptance criteria. Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Ensure test coverage across Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter). Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests. Provide detailed test reports and metrics to stakeholders. Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in automation. Database testing via mySQL and SQLDeveloper. Expand API testing to REST and SOAP. Understanding of Jira and Confluence. Excellent communication skills to ensure proper support and communication across multiple projects. Required Skills & Qualifications Mandatory Guidewire certification (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter). Strong experience in QA automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber). Proficiency in Java, Python, or other scripting languages for test automation. Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps). Solid understanding of insurance domain processes and Guidewire architecture. Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured). Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud-based Guidewire implementations. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. Prior experience in the insurance services industry.
