Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Sr Supplier Quality Engineer. Eaton announced on January 26, 2026 the intent to separate its Mobility Group into an independent publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of Q1 2027. Compensation and benefits for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs, and practices. If offered and accepted, and if actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details regarding compensation and benefits at that time. What You’ll Do Primary function: Manage, maintain, and improve the Supplier Quality System to meet the requirements and specifications of component designs received from suppliers. Provide support to Reynosa plant in continuous improvement projects, supplier and quality‑related issues. Perform regular visits to main suppliers and maintain communication to address any concerns. Lead KPI quality meetings (Supplier PMM), post DMR in the system, manage supplier 8D closures, and EPM metrics. Manage Incoming Quality Inspectors responsible for all plant quality‑related process activities as required. MRB material inventory administration, maintain goals in days and money according to procedure. Support PPAP approval for NPI and transfer programs. Essential Functions Implements appropriate quality procedures for the areas of entrance inspection and supplier development. Coordinates and controls implementation of activities related to the Supplier Quality System, processes of parts approval/products. Co‑leads or participates in quality planning for product or process development activity. Co‑leads or participates in supplier quality system assessments. Demonstrates experience in measurement systems analysis. Leads cross‑functional problem solving and process improvement initiatives. Leads supplier advanced quality planning activity through the product development/launch cycle. Conducts supplier quality system assessments. Manages the MRB area to reduce and maintain at low levels the number of parts in the cage. Notifies supplier about defective material and manages containment activities and corrective actions. Receives, reviews, and follows up PPAP approval process to achieve PPAP approvals for current, new, and transferring part numbers. Follows up Focus supplier program to help suppliers with low quality performance to improve quality and track results monthly to achieve removal from the Focus supplier list. Ensures safe launch process for NPI or transferring part numbers. Modifies existing inspection programs. Has knowledge in measurement equipment. Interprets drawings. Supports Production SPC and engineering special projects by collecting high‑quality dimensional data. Develops data reports for inspection requests. Specialized Knowledge 5+ years of experience in similar areas. PPAPs, core tools. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics or Mechanics.
