Position Summary The Sales Associate at AEO is responsible for generating sales by providing an exceptional shopping experience. The Associate drives sales through knowledge of AEO loyalty programs, product knowledge, and by following the AEO Customer First selling standards. They maintain the store’s cleanliness, organization, and appearance, model AEO values, and support fellow employees. Responsibilities Consistently demonstrate AEO Customer First selling standards to deliver a positive customer experience and achieve daily sales goals. Drive brand loyalty by informing customers about AEO loyalty programs. Use company tools and technology to provide product knowledge that enhances customer engagement and maximizes sales. Support fellow employees by sharing knowledge and assisting in customer interactions. Suggest key looks, incorporate trends and promotions tailored to individual style. Promote awareness of AEO and Aerie brands and introduce customers to additional brand channels. Perform register sales transactions quickly and accurately following cash control procedures and customer service guidelines. Restock returned merchandise, and label and place damaged or defective items appropriately. Maintain brand standards of neatness, cleanliness, and organization of sales floor, cash wrap, fitting room, and stockroom. Handle merchandise efficiently from shipment to replenishment while following backroom SOP. Resolve customer concerns promptly and partner with leadership on elevated issues. Understand and adhere to all company policy and procedures. Qualifications Previous retail experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, sales leadership, and associates. Collaborative and able to work well within a team. Open to feedback and able to act on it. Physically able to stand and move for extended periods; reach, bend, stoop, etc. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment. Ability to perform essential job functions. Proficient with technology.
