We are seeking a Logistic Specialist to join our SVS Global Logistics Operations team. The role is responsible for inbound and outbound transportation for all modes, coordinating third‑party logistics and reporting to the Manager, Logistics Operations NCA. This position is located in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico and is a temporary 6‑month contract with the possibility of extension to one year. Team you belong to You will join a team dedicated to providing expert advice on customs procedures through supervision, monitoring, and proactive communication. What You’ll Do Coordinate and execute domestic shipments to our end customers' mine sites, ensuring accurate documentation and on‑time delivery, and follow up on PODs. Prepare, review, and manage logistics documentation such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and letters of instruction. Support project teams by planning and implementing logistics solutions that align with project scope, timelines, and customer requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for freight‑related issues, including documentation discrepancies, tariff interpretation, VAT, and trade compliance. Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG) and all import/export laws and company policies. Negotiate freight rates and conditions with carriers and logistics service providers to optimize cost and service levels. Monitor logistics costs, allocate expenses accurately, and identify savings and continuous improvement opportunities. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Contracts, Proposals, and Services to ensure a shared understanding of logistics requirements. Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable area to ensure all Proof of Deliveries are received on time. Who You Are You have 2–3 years of experience in domestic and/or international logistics within a complex, multi‑business environment. You hold a bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. You possess strong knowledge of international trade, shipping regulations, export controls, and customs compliance. You are highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously. You are a strong communicator with a customer‑service mindset, able to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures. You can work independently while contributing to broader supply‑chain and continuous improvement initiatives. You are proficient with Microsoft Office and logistics systems; SAP experience is a plus. Experience in construction, heavy equipment, or mining industries and familiarity with engineering drawings are considered an asset. What’s in it for you?
