Summary The Quality Control Network Engineer ensures that all network‑related tools, artifacts, and post‑conversion updates meet required standards for accuracy, completeness, and operational readiness. This role is highly collaborative and time‑sensitive, providing real‑time support during business hours to minimize delays, maintain data integrity, and ensure smooth day‑to‑day execution across network operations and conversion activities. Primary Duties Verify that all required tools, systems, and artifacts are updated correctly following network conversions or migrations. Confirm data accuracy, configuration completeness, and alignment with established quality standards. Track open gaps or discrepancies and follow up with accountable owners to ensure timely remediation. Confirm that corrective actions are completed and documented. Serve as the primary daytime contact for questions, issues, and clarifications related to tool updates and conversion quality. Resolve or escalate issues promptly to prevent workflow delays. Daily Defect Tracking & Reporting Maintain a daily defect log capturing issues, owners, remediation status, and closure timelines. Provide simple, clear daily status reporting (e.g., percentage of tools updated on Day 0, defect rate, time‑to‑closure). Daily DMS Call Participation Attend the daily DMS (Daily Management System) call to review issue counts, track progress, and confirm tool clean‑ups are completed. Communicate updates and risks to stakeholders in a concise, actionable manner. Provide consistent Monday–Friday coverage from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to support real‑time operations and ensure continuous quality oversight. Competencies Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting). Experience in enterprise‑scale network migrations or hardware refresh projects. Certifications such as Fortinet NSE, CWNA, JNCIA, or Mist AI certifications are advantageous. Strong understanding of network tools, configuration artifacts, and operational workflows. Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to tracking issues and updates. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams. Proficiency with defect tracking tools, reporting dashboards, or workflow management systems. Required Education & Experience 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience in wired and wireless network engineering. Working knowledge of Juniper Mist switch and wireless solutions and associated tools. Working knowledge of Fortinet firewalls. Basic experience with Cisco networking technologies (IOS). Experience with ServiceNow. Basic experience with Cisco DNAC. Experience with wired and wireless monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Expected Hours of Work Provide consistent Monday–Friday coverage from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to support real‑time operations and ensure continuous quality oversight.
