Staff Accountant We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support our growing manufacturing operations. As the Staff Accountant, you will focus on cost accounting and financial analysis, helping to optimize budgets, improve cost‑efficiency and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, manufacturing processes and data analysis. What you will do: Cost System Setup & Maintenance These tasks ensure the foundational accuracy of cost data: Maintain and update cost standard files; collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and supply chain departments to ensure accurate cost roll‑ups Maintain cost system documentation and contribute to continuous process improvements Identify cost variances and monitor pre‑ and post‑calculation reports to highlight negative marginal items Transactional Recording & Accuracy These responsibilities involve daily/weekly/monthly entries and data integrity: Book sales, intercompany transfers, labor, and inventory transactions accurately Prepare journal entries and verify the accuracy of monthly financial statements Comparing standard labor budgets against actual payroll expenses to identify inefficiencies or excess spending, such as overtime, idle time, or turnover Inventory & Cost Analysis These tasks focus on inventory control and cost evaluation: Prepare and reconcile monthly plant inventories and general ledger entries Collect, analyze, and report on operational and manufacturing costs Conduct annual physical inventory reconciliations and standard cost reevaluations Financial Reporting & Variance Analysis These responsibilities support performance tracking and reporting: Generate financial reports and present variance analysis Perform account reconciliations and profit analysis Strategic Advisory & Budget Monitoring These tasks support decision‑making and budget alignment: Monitor plant activities for alignment with financial and capital budgets Advise management on cost optimization strategies and process improvements Audit & Compliance These responsibilities ensure regulatory and internal control compliance: Audit internal controls and indirect purchase reports Support external audit processes including Sarbanes‑Oxley Assist with regulatory duties and miscellaneous financial projects Conduct periodic physical inventories and audits to verify that assets exist and cycle count materials What we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 2 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment Experience with Oracle, SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar ERP systems (preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Advanced Excel skills preferred Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills High level of integrity and respect for confidentiality Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment Compensation Currency: USD Salary Minimum: Market Salary Maximum: Market Incentive: Market Disclaimer: Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.
