Unit Leader – Experimental and Molecular Medicine About the Institute The Institute of Obesity Research was established to generate cutting-edge knowledge through scientific rigor and analysis, developing innovative ideas and solutions to the obesity problem through interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work, and creating scientific-technological companies to improve the health and well-being of people and society. Role and Vision Design, lead, and execute high-impact translational research in obesity and metabolic diseases, integrating molecular biology, experimental models, and clinical validation. In this position, bridging the gap between scientific discoveries and their clinical applications is key. Contribute to positioning the Institute as a reference in Mexico and LATAM in biomedical research with health impact. Qualifications PhD is mandatory in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Experimental Biology, Medicine, Biomedicine, or related fields. Postdoctoral training at internationally prestigious institutions is desirable. Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), level II or III. An h-index in Scopus of at least 23–25.
