The Senior Freight Buyer is responsible for negotiating and managing domestic and cross-border transportation services across North America, ensuring competitive costs, on-time deliveries, and high service levels with carriers and logistics providers. Key Responsibilities: Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service agreements with carriers and transportation providers. Manage domestic and international freight operations across the U.S. and Mexico. Coordinate FTL shipments and ensure on-time delivery performance. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with logistics suppliers and carriers. Analyze transportation costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Monitor logistics KPIs such as freight cost, carrier performance, and delivery metrics. Support sourcing activities, RFQs, carrier selection, and supplier evaluations. Collaborate with planning, warehouse, materials, and customer service teams to support operational flow. Resolve transportation and shipment-related issues in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with logistics procedures and procurement policies. Requirements: Experience in transportation, logistics, freight procurement, or supply chain. Strong negotiation experience with carriers and freight providers. Knowledge of FTL domestic and cross-border operations. Experience supporting North America logistics operations (Mexico/U.S.). Advanced conversational English. Experience with Excel, ERP, and/or TMS systems. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Preferred Competencies: Effective communication skills.
