Job Description As a Technology Lead, you will work on maintenance and support of critical applications for leading Global Financial Services. Required Qualifications Minimum 6+ years of experience in Applications Support in Unix, SQL & Unix Scripting. Knowledge with Java/Python. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Hands‑on experience in SQL: Know how to write PL/SQL statements. Good understanding of joins. Good understanding of performance tuning of queries. Knowledge of commands to check DB health and query debugging. Experience in Unix: Know advanced shell commands such as substitution, disk‑space check and cleaning, awk/sed, no‑hup, script execution. Be able to tail logs and search for specific patterns, errors, stack traces. Know basic shell scripting to automate repeated manual tasks such as running SQL for report generation or automating repeated user queries. Know FTP, archiving and other commands needed for day‑to‑day batch support. Java knowledge: Should know basics of OOPs. Should be able to read through and understand Java code. Basic debugging, exception handling, memory management and garbage collection. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Sybase/DB2/RDBMS. Experience with Java/Python. Experience with job scheduler (e.g., Autosys) and ticketing tool/Jira. Experience with IDEs is a plus. Role Responsibilities Work actively with team members to analyze and resolve application issues. Incident management: incident resolution, stakeholder communication, bridge management, post‑mortem analysis and action items. User ticket management: backlog review, user interface and manual prioritization. Planned/unplanned events – support BCP (Business Continuity Planning), migration, holiday activities. Identify defects/discrepancies and root causes by debugging or analyzing logs. Improve application stability by observing patterns, recurring alerts or issues for permanent fixes or automation.
