Overview Our MXCF Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for seasoned, customer-focused leaders to join our team as an Area Manager at our new Inbound Cross Dock (IXD) – the first of its kind in Mexico. This state‑of‑the‑art facility represents a significant milestone in Amazon's Latin America expansion, featuring new processes and innovative cross‑docking solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead multiple departments and hourly associates through coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Drive strategic initiatives and implement innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency across multiple areas and shifts. Analyze complex data and metrics to identify trends, develop action plans, and lead continuous improvement projects affecting multiple departments. Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises with a broader scope and ensure standardization across operations. Build and maintain strong partnerships with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop and execute long‑term strategies. Create and maintain performance management tools to drive accountability. Perform physical tasks: lift up to 49 pounds, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; stand/walk up to 12 hours during shifts; operate in environments with variable noise levels and temperatures; climb and descend stairs where applicable. A Typical Day Review cross‑departmental metrics and KPIs from previous shifts. Lead multiple area huddles to align goals, safety priorities, and operational strategies. Conduct Gemba walks to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure standardization. Facilitate problem‑solving sessions to address systemic issues across areas. Develop and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and quality. Lead critical projects with multi‑area impact. About the Team We are launching an exciting new operation in Mexico – our first Inbound Cross Dock in the country. As part of the founding team, you will shape the future of upstream operations in the region. Your role is crucial to Amazon's supply chain, managing the efficient flow of vendor and seller shipments to multiple Fulfillment Centers across Mexico and advancing operational excellence and continuous improvement. Basic Qualifications 2+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Experience managing large teams (50+ members). Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing) and able to follow directions in English. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Lean methodologies.
