What Your Background Should Look Like Education and Experience Requirements BS degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial or related engineering Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required +5 years of experience as ME. Knowledge of TEOA, SPC, Six Sigma and other improvement techniques is preferred Working under pressure Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering experience within a manufacturing plant is preferred Creativity to explore new ideas and new technologies to product quality product in a cost-effective manner is essential. Primary Responsibilities Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Continuous improvement efforts and drive production efficiency initiatives Support varied manufacturing projects, including process improvements and cost reduction activities Support and practice Lean / TEOA initiatives Plan equipment layout, workflow, and accident prevention measures to maximize efficiency and maintain safe utilization of plant facilities Validate original cost estimates to actual costs for launched programs Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements and improvements Maintain records and systems for coordinating manufacturing operations Design both simple and complex tools, gages, and fixtures to support production Initiate root cause analysis and perform mistake proofing. Effectively support the production floor as needed. Successfully train operators in proper methods and usage of tooling, fixtures and machines.
