Team Responsibilities MSCI has embarked on an ambitious program to create our next generation Fixed Income Indices, building on MSCI's vast Analytics and Index capabilities. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our Market Data team and contribute to this next generation solution. As a member of the Development team you will build high‑performance and scalable services primarily using various programming languages and technologies. These services will provide an efficient and comprehensive gateway into our Indices group. You will work within a local and global team of highly skilled Software Engineers, Test Engineers, and Product Managers, and have significant interaction with developers and testers working on our teams all over the world. Key Responsibilities Build the future MSCI Data platform in the cloud – improve and create a modern, sophisticated platform using the latest technologies and following industry best practices. Evaluate different architectural & design approaches, solutions, frameworks & technologies and recommend the most suitable one. Develop best practices for architecture, design, coding & automated test coverage. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to develop and use common architectural principles. Develop, document and deploy reliable, scalable systems to automate the operation and management of our market data system and terms & conditions database. Develop and maintain an automated testing module for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI‑CD). Work in a DevOps model to support automated monitoring, production processes, and related tasks. Requirements and Experience 1–2 years of experience with Azure/AWS/GCP cloud working environments, including resource management, infrastructure setup, DevOps, storage lakes, etc. 1+ year of experience with container management such as Docker, containers, and MS Container. 1+ year of software development experience on Linux technology stacks and Windows. 1+ year of experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, C++, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, REST API, PowerShell. 1+ year of experience with one of the following relational databases: Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL. 1+ year of experience with one of the following repository management tools: CVS, SVN, GIT, and JIRA integration. Working experience in a Linux environment. Knowledge of automated scheduling tools such as AutoSys, Tidor, Redwood, Airflow. Working experience with Agile methodology. Degree qualification in Computer Science or a related field.
