BG ENGINEERING & DEVELOPMENT INJECTION PROFESSIONAL - Experience: 5 to 10 years of significant experience in moulds and injection moulding process fields. Product design for injection process manufacturing Moulds design & manufacturing Moulding process settings optimization for cosmetic & geometry Injection moulding process control & in‑mold sensors use for tuning & production. Experience in thick‑section injection moulding of light blades from LED grade polycarbonates. RFQ & advanced phase activities for mold specification & quotation Define molds technical specification and propose assumptions with product line & purchasing teams for RFQ. Define relevant assumptions for PRU evaluation (cycle time, scrap rate, clamp force). Project activities for product & mold design Lead the tool design in close connection with the tool maker to ensure efficient product & mold engineering convergence. Update tool specification for mold sourcing and optimize assumptions for tools cost optimisation with the purchasing department. Support the project team and design leader for product design, mould design feasibility analysis. Lead mould FMEA when relevant. Assess the tool design (sizing, kinematics, cooling, injection, …) to ensure compliance with OPmobility safety rules and standards, cost optimisation, and alignment with plant operational performance and OEM product quality targets. Prepare the EAOT / Gripper specification for supplier quotation. Identify critical tool components, propose design optimisation, and identify specific spare parts. Assess the injection system, hot‑runner concept, and degating assumptions with injection & rheology engineers. Assess mold shrinkage according to OPmobility procedure. Support SPM for tool modification negotiation. Propose technical solutions for continuous improvement of cost, lead time & quality during development. Raise alerts related to design for manufacturing or mould risks, manage related actions. Ensure weekly monitoring of toolmaker technical activities from top milling to FOT to guarantee no deviation in quality and lead time. Prepare the handover of activity with ITDE & plant injection and tooling teams to enable the first mould try‑outs and mould transfer in plant. Project activities for tools fine‑tuning & process convergence Support ITDE and plant in case of specific needs or hard points to manage. Plant support Assist plant to improve performance & product quality after mould transfer (serial life). Assist plant to integrate new injection, mould technologies and new product concepts. Technical activities Analyse mould/process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA) results and ensure critical process characteristics are implemented in moulding tool & injection process developments. Standards, continuous improvement & networking Apply HSE standards at each step of the project. Ensure full application of PO standards, deliverable recording, process best practices and golden rules at every stage of development. Attend project development reviews (QUAD / DR). Lead or participate in problem‑solving workshops related to moulding process, tool or product quality issues. Share lessons learned with the central injection & tooling team and division network for internal standard improvement (in development & production). Identify need for new technology or supplier to improve industrial performance in current and future projects. Challenge toolmakers and other suppliers for tool engineering improvement aligned with PO performance & part quality targets. Support toolmaker assessments in collaboration with supplier quality and the central injection & tooling team to support PO tool purchasing strategy. As local Injection & Tooling Engineer position, following activities to be considered Adapt and improve standards according to engineering and operation performance targets. Ensure technical survey in injection & tooling scope (tool makers, tool components, processes, materials, …). Ensure continuous improvement of process, technologies and tools; contribute to and manage central actions and projects according to the central métier roadmap. Participate in networking across the injection & tooling community, identify deviations from standards, ensure golden rules and best practices are known and applied.
