Role Overview Senior Accounting Analyst responsible for payroll, benefits, pension, lease, and expense accounting, including reporting, forecasting, and coordination of key accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Manage the end‑to‑end accounting cycle for payroll and employee benefits, including weekly accrual postings, salary payments, and payroll withholdings. Ensure payroll transactions are accurately recorded through journal entries and reflected in the general ledger and supporting subledgers. Prepare and manage payroll and benefits forecasts, documenting headcount drivers and compensation trends, and explain variances. Perform payroll analysis, balance sheet and P&L review, trend analysis, and validation of account activity. Ensure tie‑out between subledger and general ledger, especially for intercompany or cost allocation entries. Record and analyze actuarial valuations for the pension plan, recognize benefit obligations, and manage pension‑related balance sheet accounts in SAP. Coordinate weekly defined contribution funding and reconcile pension‑related data sources. Manage lease accounting, including initial recognition and subsequent measurement of right‑of‑use assets and lease liabilities. Oversee employee expense cycle, administer Concur, and ensure proper posting and compliance. Manage prepaid expense accounting and amortization. Lead period‑end close and reconciliation for all accounting cycles, preparing workpapers and support schedules. Support audit and compliance activities, provide reconciliations, and drive process improvements and internal control strengthening. Qualifications 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience, including payroll, benefits, and balance sheet reconciliations. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Strong knowledge of Mexican GAAP (NIF D-3) and US GAAP (ASC 715). Solid understanding of accounting cycles, accruals, and financial close processes. Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP and OneStream). Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliations. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Ability to prepare clear reconciliations, supporting schedules, and audit‑ready documentation. Teamwork skills and ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
