Role Summary As a member of the Global Logistics team, the Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing logistics requirements across multiple sites within an assigned region. The role ensures the effective deployment and execution of site‑specific logistics strategies that align with business objectives and support operational excellence. The Logistics Specialist develops and maintains strong partnerships with key logistics providers to optimize Flowserve’s logistics network, strengthen service performance, and continuously enhance the customer order‑to‑delivery experience. Your role Within the assigned region and for the site(s) under his/her responsibility, the selected candidate will: Provide oversight of all transportation and 3PL/4PL services and modes both international and domestic to assist the site(s) in achieving logistics expectations using the Logistics Data Repository. Implement processes and procedures in accordance with the global logistics vision and strategy to achieve the desired performance level. Ensure adherence to global logistics policies and procedures as well as promote and provide training on said policies. Conduct training as needed on all logistics requirements: project management, process improvement, negotiation, sourcing, metrics reporting, incoterms, “lost profit” and performance to revenue. Collaborate in sourcing events that affect his/her site(s)/region from needs analysis to providers’ onboarding (Data collection, RFQ preparation, RFQ analysis, selection, implementation). Manage the escalation process to resolve logistics issues that affect site performances. Demonstrate an enterprise mindset approach, contributing effort and ideas for the global supply chain team and support the global supply chain maturity growth. Develop a strong cross‑functional relationship between global logistics and site supply chain teams to enhance logistics knowledge and improve efficiencies across the enterprise. Work with site logistics teams to reduce lost opportunity spend through usage of Flowserve’s Authorized Vendor List (AVL) ensuring the routing guides are followed but also updated as needed. Monitor and report weekly carrier invoice past due amounts and assign any necessary actions to resolve. Maintain current site organizational contact list, including logistics, supply chain, and finance. Monitor any logistics‑owned cost savings strategies. Participate in monthly and quarterly carrier business reviews and periodic RFQ consultations as assigned. Effectively lead cross‑functional corrective action to resolve intra‑Flowserve and external customer logistics issues. Promote Flowserve’s culture for safety and integrity. Your profile Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in logistics or a comparable operational role. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Basic/intermediate knowledge of current international import/export guidelines, including Incoterms, Global Air and Ocean markets and methods. Full understanding and competence on Flowserve Freight Pay data repository. Able to calculate and communicate performance and spend, including variance analysis and root‑cause analysis via designated format for assigned Flowserve sites. Full understanding and competence of Flowserve approved freight vendor list by mode, region, with the ability to communicate site compliance performance and financial impacts. Proficiency with Global Logistics tools and applications: Project44, Blue Yonder, ProShip, Expense Allocate, Vendor Payment Inquiry, Freight Rater. Full understanding of carrier KPIs/metrics and ability to present that information accordingly. Ability to understand and utilize analytical applications and BI tools (i.e., Tableau). Project management and implementation skills. Intimacy with the logistics markets and trends. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to analyze and create meaningful and concise critical data reports. Ability to multi‑task and set priorities accordingly. Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment. Familiarity with ERP applications such as SAP and Oracle. Fluent spoken and written capabilities in English.
