The Plant Manager holds a pivotal position, managing the manufacturing facility’s daily operations and planning long‑term development. Responsibilities include leading plant safety and environmental performance, optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards, managing budgets, and promoting operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Leadership: Translate business strategy into actionable guidance and lead the team to achieve exceptional results. Vision: Collaborate with the Production Department to define best‑in‑class manufacturing practices and drive efficiency, quality, and safety improvements. Budget: Define, manage, and ensure adherence to plant budget objectives, optimize resource usage, and control costs (P&L ownership and financial performance). Production: Ensure production plans are met, minimize costs, and manage third‑party manufacturing relationships. Human Resources/Team Management: Develop and empower the workforce, recruit, manage, and develop team members, and foster a culture of motivation and competence. Maintenance: Oversee maintenance activities to achieve optimal plant asset performance and collaborate with engineering for technical improvements. Quality: Uphold quality standards, ensure regulatory compliance, and take accountability for product quality and safety. Technological Process: Execute production processes to technical standards, optimize efficiency, and incorporate new technologies to enhance competitiveness. Continuous Improvement: Facilitate improvement proposals and projects to refine production cycle organization and drive industrial system development. Safety and Environment: Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and food regulations, prioritize safety initiatives, mitigate environmental risks, and foster a strong safety and sustainability culture. About You Proven Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leader with 10+ years experience in food manufacturing or CPG, leading high‑volume, high‑complexity operations. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus. Proven record of driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, cost, quality, and safety through structured continuous improvement. Strong financial and P&L ownership experience, with ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and resource optimization. Comfortable leading in multinational, matrix organizations and collaborating with Operations, Planning, HR, and Engineering. People‑centric leader who develops, motivates, and inspires diverse teams, including experience in unionized environments. Solid change‑management capabilities, successfully leading transformations and implementing new technologies with minimal disruption. Deep operational understanding of manufacturing processes; experience in food, cocoa, chocolate or related industries is highly desirable. Strong professional proficiency in English (B2+); additional languages are an advantage.
