Working in tandem with GBE's Engineering and Procurement teams, the VE/CE COE is a global entity tasked with the critical mission of enhancing product margins and driving productivity, thereby securing Honeywell's competitive edge in the global market. Our mandate spans across all Strategic Business Groups (SBGs), with the exception of AERO, ensuring that value engineering and component engineering principles are consistently applied to deliver tangible savings and superior products. As a hub of flexibility and rapid adaptation, the VE/CE COE is Honeywell's strategic response to the ever‑evolving marketplace demands. Focus on VECE initiatives tailored specifically for the Projects GBEs. These initiatives are designed to align with both category and overarching strategic sourcing strategies. Responsibilities Create and maintain the Projects Playbook, establishing it as a key resource for project execution and methodologies. Conduct analytical assessments of project opportunities across xGBEs identify synergies and best practices that can be leveraged to enhance project outcomes and efficiencies. Collaborate with leaders from GBE VECE along with SBG leaders to communicate VECE results. Engage in cross‑functional cooperation within the Projects Business to achieve productivity goals set in AOP. Continuously monitor and maintain an MOS follow‑up for project organizations to enhance productivity and execute projects more effectively. Conduct analysis on excess inventory to identify and find repurposing opportunities. Serve as a primary touchpoint for the Global Program Management Office (GPMO) to ensure project organizations are aligned with GPMO tools and processes. Provide guidance on project execution xGBE. Develop and implement periodic training sessions for project teams to ensure sourcing teams are fully informed and equipped. Mapping of Pricing & Estimation and Engineering departments within the Projects Organizations to analyze inception points for the VECE to engage. Execute an EAC analysis by project cycle to analyze and report engineering savings. Facilitate workshops that bring together sourcing and engineering teams to foster the generation of actionable projects aimed at margin optimization. Collaborate with the finance team to negotiate further opportunities for cost optimization and financial efficiencies within projects. Qualifications Nice to have Ability to understand whole system/business perspective, identify and early escalation of risks at the right time. Ability to quickly assess unclear, complex, and ambiguous situations and reduce into distinct, clear, timely, and stable direction/Action plan for the development team. Good knowledge and experience in basic PM areas like Cost, Time, Risk, and Integration Management. Good knowledge in advanced Excel, CORA, Ivalua. Individuals who are self‑motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events. Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience. Good knowledge on value Engineering and component engineering.
