Job Summary Lead an operative work team in an industrial working environment, supervise all the activities that meet Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery standards efficiently and comply with the established procedures of Cooper Standard BTO procedures and operating systems such as IATF or ISO. Responsibilities Ensure associates have support of the security team and follow established security procedures. Conduct daily supervisory walk‑throughs to check for potential insecure conditions in your area. Update the payroll system daily, revise attendance of staff in your supervision, and check overtime, extra hours, absences, vacation, permission, and disabilities. Perform the daily start‑up meeting according to the established routine. Supervise and assure that the quality of production meets the established standards according to customer requirements. Have authority to stop processes that risk the quality of the product when necessary. Make quality and safety audits according to the system on time. Manage the certification process of direct operators according to the requirements of trained people and multifunctional capabilities. Supervise the SPC system execution; document data and analyze it. Verify the certification on SPC for direct floor associates. Explain to operators how to fill out the required formats. Comply with established standards of quality and efficiency for the processes in your area, following up with instructional worksheets and supervising the correct registry of process evaluations. Direct the distribution of human resources and materials in the area according to requirements and delivery times to achieve efficient goals. Supervise the execution of the production program to accomplish productivity and BTS goals. Participate in emergency evacuation drills and serve as a member of the safety brigades. Supervise the provision of materials to guarantee proper handling of components in your area. Participate in the training of different production processes as well as the operation of equipment and tools at work. Be trained on each working station of your production area. Ensure correct production reporting to SAP (posting barcodes) to avoid COGIS or hanging HU’s. Evaluate the talent development of your staff according to company periods and participate in detection of needs for added training. Conduct meetings with low‑level staff to review security or other problems that may affect your area and devise solutions. Be responsible for 6’s goal accomplishment in your area. Comply with the goal of scrap in your area and perform activities for reduction. Request at least 48 hours in advance any staff movement of area or shift; changes will be required on Friday and applied on Monday or at the start of the week. Do Kaizen activities and saving projects according to the required goals. Follow all responsibilities and the authority assigned according to the FTM‑EHS‑12 Roles, Responsibility and Authority Matrix from ISO 14001 / 45001. Comply with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as IATF 16949. Required Education, Experience and Knowledge Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering or equivalent experience in automotive industry. Minimum one year experience in manufacturing or process engineering in a production environment. Automotive experience preferred. Mandatory trainings by client (if not completed, they will be programmed in the annual training plan). Core tools or other problem‑solving strategies. SPC knowledge desired. Yellow BTO desired. I‑MOS system. Medium or advanced Office skills. Basic MSA knowledge. Measuring tools knowledge desired. Required Skills and Abilities Pro‑active. Ability to work as a team member or team leader. Strong communication and leadership skills. Labor relations knowledge.
