Responsibilities Ensure that processes comply with established Safety, Quality, and Productivity standards. Develop and understand documentation related to process gauges, electrical schematics, etc. Develop and qualify welding procedures (WPS/PQR) in accordance with applicable standards. Train operational personnel in welding techniques and best practices. Assist in the creation of acceptance and rejection criteria, as well as their implementation. Analyze welding defects and apply corrective and preventive actions. Develop standard operation sheets for operations (OMS, TRS, ORS). Define, create, update, and control FMEA according to engineering changes, customer requirements, and special characteristics. Support production in process operation to ensure objectives are achieved. Work in a safe environment to prevent accidents. Define, develop, and review preventive maintenance, as well as equipment spare parts lists, together with the Maintenance Engineer. Ensure that all Preventive and Autonomous Maintenance is carried out. Establish the replacement frequency for consumables in the area. Prepare the Process Critical Parts List and register them. Optimize resources, reduce costs, and/or generate savings related to the process. Continuous Improvement projects. Design and develop preventive and failure detection systems (Mistake‑Proofing) (Poka‑Yoke) to ensure Quality and eliminate Process errors. Define and ensure process specification and control parameters. Process CP and CPKs. Develop troubleshooting activities. Lead problem‑solving / root cause analysis. Support pilot testing. Create and update OMS, TRS, and ORS. Report and follow up on downtime / machinery and equipment failures. Report and follow up on cycle time. Prepare and maintain Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Meeting KPIs for each assigned area. Provide support with the multidisciplinary team from Production, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and EHS to achieve objectives. Implement Continuous Improvements to reduce Costs and increase Efficiency. Optimize scrap generated from engineering trials/adjustments. Competencies Mastery of welding processes. Knowledge of metallurgy and material behavior. Interpretation of drawings and technical specifications. Knowledge of welding standards and codes. Statistical Process Control (SPC). Operation of inspection equipment (NDT). Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics (Preferred). Desirable certification as a Welding Inspector or Welding Engineer (AWS, IWE, CWI). Experience in WPS/PQR development and Quality Control. Experience in metalworking processes, mechanics, assembly, and manufacturing. Knowledge of automatic and semi‑automatic electromechanical machinery: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical Control, Failure Analysis, Lathe, and Milling Machine. Commissioning of production lines, transfer lines, and new products. Problem‑solving methodologies (5 Whys, 8Ds, Ishikawa, PDCA, SWOT Analysis, etc.). Positive attitude (Customer Service), team‑oriented, and ability to work under pressure. Continuous Improvement mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. English language required.
