Facilities Manager – Plant & Facilities The Facilities Manager will supervise, coordinate, and administer the facilities department responsible for construction, alteration, upkeep and repair of the plant and related equipment. In addition, the role serves as the property security and janitorial maintenance officer. Responsibilities Develop and direct the implementation of modification and maintenance programs for facilities and related equipment. Meet with external customers, representatives of other companies, and suppliers, in coordination with procurement functions, to evaluate alternatives and recommend or arrange for outside development work. Manage energy systems at the facility. Participate in project planning and direct projects or segments of larger projects, including scheduling, monitoring costs, resources, and workforce loading. Provide technical direction to engineers, technical contributors, technicians, designers, drafters, and model makers. Implement plant layout, expansion, and utility modification projects. Ensure that facilities modifications, machine installations, and modifications comply with Mexican Secretary of Labor regulations and QSR’s element 820.70 (c, e, f). Lead all aspects of facility and safety programs, maintaining accurate operation of electronic security control devices. Coordinate with Human Resources on security and safety policies and procedures. Contract facilities maintenance programs such as janitorial, HVAC maintenance, and pest control, ensuring accurate cleaning by contract staff. Maintain contamination control. Apply quality improvement process tools and participate actively in quality improvement teams. Manage the budgeting process for plant facilities and maintenance functions. Define duties and responsibilities of subordinates and measure performance. Promote positive employee relations in collaboration with Human Resources, maintaining a high level of employee morale, participation and dedication. Qualifications B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plant Engineering, or equivalent experience. Five or more years in a facilities engineering or management position.
