General Overview Req ID: Remote Position: NoRegion: AmericasCountry: MexicoState/Province: Nuevo LeonCity: Monterrey Job Overview We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Facilities Leader to provide comprehensive direct and indirect supervision to subordinate team leaders and professional staff. In this role, you will establish 3- to 5-year operational plans, develop departmental policies, and assume full accountability for department results, budgets, and multi-functional projects. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of professional standards to navigate high-stakes decisions where budget management, methods, and scheduling are critical to organizational success. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to the site management team to develop plans, budgets, and programs that align with company goals. Manage hiring, firing, performance reviews, compensation adjustments, coaching, and disciplinary actions, with final approval for subordinate managers’ recommendations. Build strong cross-functional relationships, utilizing persuasion, negotiation, and tact to interface effectively with peers, senior management, key customers, and suppliers. Oversee end-to-end delivery of facilities projects ranging from $10K to $1M+, including the preparation of requirements, architectural/design engineering, drawings, specifications, and tender/construction contracts. Lead new site and building construction initiatives, managing the full construction delivery process from groundbreaking to handover. Drive cost-efficiency by identifying and executing project cost-saving initiatives without impacting operational effectiveness. Accurately estimate project costs, secure internal/external approvals, and strictly meet budget and schedule commitments. Provide a safe, healthy, secure, and productive work environment while optimizing operational costs. Manage daily site facilities operations, including security, mailroom, business centers, logistics, and third-party contractors. Oversee general site maintenance, including building fabric, complex electrical maintenance and infrastructure, HVAC systems, general repairs, parking lots, and landscaping. Act as the primary liaison for authority relations, maintaining positive interfaces with municipal, state, and federal regulatory bodies to secure permits and ensure full legal compliance. Ensure all building utility operations and site activities meet government regulations and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standards. Implement, maintain, and continuously improve robust Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs across the site. Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Proven track record in a senior facilities leadership role (managing +1 plants), with demonstrated experience managing new building construction and electrical infrastructure/maintenance. Strong background in budget development, project estimation, and a verifiable history of delivering project cost savings. Solid experience handling authority relations, permitting, and navigating municipal/governmental compliance. Exceptional people management skills, with experience managing multi-functional teams and subordinate supervisors. High-level negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills to interface with senior executives and external stakeholders. Liquid cooling and high power experience required.
