The Opportunity Schools deserve complete financial clarity. As Mattilda processes millions in tuition payments, we have an extraordinary opportunity to give schools unprecedented visibility into their financial operations: what they've invoiced, what's been collected, what they've received through advances (factoring), and their complete cash position—all in real-time. We're building the next generation of school financial operations. Imagine automated reconciliation that happens instantly, comprehensive dashboards that give complete transparency, and self-service finance products that schools can manage independently. We're transforming manual processes into intelligent, automated workflows powered by AI. You'll architect a financial operating system that scales. Your work will define how over 1,000 schools understand and manage their finances—through reconciliation tools that provide instant clarity, reporting that supports confident decision‑making, and finance products that are transparent, predictable, and easy to operate. This is a once‑in‑a‑career opportunity to build financial infrastructure that will scale across Latin America and fundamentally change how schools operate. What you’ll lead Your focus will be on building a best‑in‑class financial visibility and reconciliation experience for schools. You will lead the product vision and execution to: Deliver a clear, end‑to‑end view of the financial lifecycle: invoicing, collections, payments, and disbursements & cash received. Create customer‑ready financial reports and exports that schools can independently understand, validate, and trust. Define consistent financial concepts, sources of truth, and reconciliation logic across the platform. Enable month‑to‑month reconciliation— even in the presence of advances, cut‑offs, and other complexities. Partner with Design to make complex financial data intuitive for non‑finance users. Collaborate with Engineering to build scalable data models and systems that support accuracy and transparency. Work with Finance and Ops to translate operational complexity into simple, productized experiences. What you’ll do day to day Identify the most valuable opportunities to improve financial clarity for schools. Define product solutions and work with engineering and design to deliver them. Partner with customer teams to understand how schools use financial reports in practice. Own the roadmap for reconciliation and customer‑facing financial reporting. Balance near‑term improvements with long‑term platform foundations. Who you are We’re looking for a product leader who combines strong product judgment with financial systems fluency. 7+ years of product management experience with a track record of shipping impactful products. 3+ years leading fintech, financial operations, billing, or accounting/reporting products. Strong finance systems fluency: you understand reconciliations, AR workflows, financial reporting, and can model complex financial flows across systems. Experience building dashboards, reporting tools, or accounting software that users love. Technical fluency: comfortable with APIs, data models, ETL pipelines, and financial system integrations. Proven ownership of customer‑facing financial reporting, reconciliation, or payout experiences. Exceptional analytical skills—you can diagnose complex issues and design elegant solutions. Trusted partner to Finance and Operations teams—you speak their language and translate financial complexity into clear product abstractions. Strong systems thinking across complex money flows. Ability to partner deeply with backend engineering teams. Data‑driven and outcome‑oriented—you make decisions based on impact, not intuition. Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English. Preferred Qualifications Experience building or integrating with accounting systems, ERPs, or reconciliation platforms. Background in B2B SaaS financial operations (billing, invoicing, AR management). Exposure to Latin American accounting standards and compliance requirements. Experience in EdTech or institutional finance (schools, universities, healthcare). Prior experience as financial analyst, operations analyst, or data analyst. Familiarity with AI/ML applications in financial operations. Experience in factoring, lending, or working capital finance products. You’re a great fit if you Care deeply about correctness, clarity, and customer trust. Enjoy making complex financial systems understandable to non‑finance users. Think in end‑to‑end experiences rather than isolated features. Are comfortable operating in multi‑country, high‑impact environments. This role does not require an accounting degree—it does require strong financial literacy and a passion for building trustworthy financial products. Why this role matters When schools have clear visibility into their financial reality, everything improves—from collections and planning to trust and long‑term partnership. This role gives you the opportunity to shape how thousands of schools experience and understand their finances and to build one of the most important pillars of Mattilda’s platform as we scale across Latin America.
