Company Description Immunocine Cancer Center is a biotechnology organization focused on bringing revolutionary immunotherapy to cancer patients who are not eligible for traditional FDA clinical trials. The company’s proprietary Immunocine Dendritic Cell Therapy (IDCT) “double loads” a patient’s dendritic cells with their own cancer cells to mimic a viral infection and trigger a targeted immune response. Candidates joining the team will contribute directly to a mission-driven effort to expand access to innovative cancer treatments. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Laboratory Technician / Specialized Flow Cytometry role based in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico. The laboratory technician will perform routine and specialized flow cytometry assays to support Immunocine’s dendritic cell therapy workflows, including sample preparation, staining, acquisition, and data analysis. Daily tasks include operating and maintaining flow cytometers and related laboratory equipment, performing instrument setup and calibration, and documenting all procedures and results in accordance with laboratory quality standards. The role involves processing patient and research samples, assisting with method development and optimization, and collaborating with scientists and clinical staff to ensure accurate, timely data to support therapeutic decision-making. The technician will also participate in quality control activities, inventory management, adherence to biosafety protocols, and continuous improvement of laboratory processes. Qualifications Demonstrated laboratory skills and experience working as a laboratory technician in a clinical, research, or biotechnology setting. Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, including operation, calibration, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of flow cytometers and related instruments. Strong quality control mindset, including adherence to SOPs, accurate documentation, and compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory standards. Solid analytical skills, including data interpretation, basic statistical understanding, and the ability to identify anomalies or trends in flow cytometry and related assay results. Familiarity with flow cytometry techniques (sample preparation, panel design, compensation, gating strategies) and associated software is strongly preferred. Ability to follow detailed protocols, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy and organization in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary, patient-focused team.
