Director of Finance - Mexico Operations Senior finance leadership role responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial, treasury, tax, compliance, and strategic finance activities for Mexico operations within a complex maquiladora/manufacturing environment. This position serves as the primary financial liaison between Mexico operations and US Corporate Finance leadership, ensuring strong financial governance, operational visibility, cost control, regulatory compliance, and business partnership across all areas of the organization. Key responsibilities include financial statement oversight and analysis, treasury and cash flow management, annual budgeting and forecasting support, manufacturing cost and labor efficiency analysis, audit coordination, VAT recovery, IMMEX compliance, internal controls, insurance administration, and implementation of financial policies and procedures. The role partners closely with Operations, FP&A, Cost Accounting, HR, EHS, Compliance, International Trade, and Plant Leadership to support operational decision‑making, productivity initiatives, margin improvement, cost reduction strategies, and long‑term business planning. Requires active participation in operational and production meetings, strong floor presence within manufacturing operations, and the ability to challenge processes and drive continuous improvement. This position also leads relationships with external auditors, legal advisors, tax consultants, banking institutions, and other professional service providers while ensuring all corporate and statutory deliverables are completed accurately and on time. Ideal candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, executive communication skills, deep manufacturing finance expertise, cross‑border business experience, and the ability to operate effectively within a fast‑paced US/Mexico corporate environment. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced certification preferred Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including senior leadership responsibilities Minimum 5+ years in a manufacturing, maquiladora, or high‑volume operational environment Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, labor absorption, inventory controls, and operational KPIs Proven experience supporting US‑based corporate structures and cross‑border financial operations Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal) required Strong understanding of Mexican tax, labor, social security, IMMEX, VAT, and regulatory compliance requirements Experience leading annual audits, treasury functions, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting processes Experience working with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and process improvement initiatives Strong executive presence with the ability to present financial results, risks, and business strategies to senior leadership and corporate executives Demonstrated ability to partner cross‑functionally with Operations, HR, FP&A, Compliance, EHS, and Plant Leadership Strong analytical, problem‑solving, negotiation, and decision‑making capabilities Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization High level of integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and business ethics Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability manufacturing environment with strong attention to detail and execution discipline Hands‑on leadership style with strong operational involvement and the ability to work closely with plant operations, challenge processes, and drive execution‑oriented improvements across the organization #J-18808-Ljbffr
